DOs and Don't For Your Master Bedroom

Walking to your master bedroom at night, or awakening there in the morning, what type of decor do you wish would greet you? Cannot decide between which colours to use for décor. Here we have prepared you a list of DOs and DONTs for your master bedroom.

List of DOs for your master bedroom: -

1) Try keeping your work area and bedroom separate cause your bed should be a place of relaxation and calm and not a place of work and entertainment.

2) You can try to maximize your storage space whenever you can, Instead of opting for scrawny night tables with drawers that spoils the luxury of your master bedroom.

3) You can use a nice headboard or put something decorative above your bed like a piece of art. This will help ground the room and give your eye a place to rest.

4) You can add a soft rug or floor mat to the bedroom. Since area rugs are easy to remove and clean you can get a soft feeling underfoot without the negative aspects of wall-to-wall carpet.

5) You can install dimmer light switches, this will surely come in handy when you are getting ready for bed or just waking up. Dimmer switches allow you to completely control the amount of light and create a relaxing atmosphere.

6) You can try to make your room a clutter-free zone. Try to keep the nightstand and other places free of any unnecessary items. For that you can add more storage options , like storage drawers beneath your bed.

7) You can install shades or curtains which will block out the bright light. If you are a light sleeper, you can go for medium or light shades if you like a little dim and extra light in the room

List of DONTs for your master bedroom: -

1) Try keeping less furniture in the bedroom, Do not overcrowd your room, go for just the basic requirements such as a bed, night table, and some storage facilities.

2) Dont decorate your room with brighter and bolder colours. Since bedrooms are about promoting sleep and relaxation you want colors that will help reduce stress such as soft neutrals.

3) Do not compromise on the bedding of your room. Luxury linen is a great investment because they create a spa-like feel in your bedroom. Plus, high-quality bedding will far outlast cheaper options and give your bedroom a designer look.

4) Try avoiding exercise equipment in your bedroom , unless it is very necessary. Because in most cases it will become a wardrobe for your daily wear.

5) Do not add an oversized bed in your bedroom, although it may seem very attractive to you in the shop it tends to occupy a lot of unnecessary space of your room jarring the focal point of your bedroom.
